Gorimbaud Designs

When it comes to jewelry, I sometimes prefer materials other than silver, such as brass or copper. Such jewelry is made by the two lovely ladies of Gorimbaud Designs, Emilia and Vilma. Based in Finland, the two women make use of ancient wisdom to create tools for modern magic.

โ€œWe are inspired by witchcraft, our northern roots, nature and traditional craft, and each piece is lovingly handmade in our home.โ€ Gorimbaud Designs

Emilia and Vilma (what a beautiful name btw!) are not only partners in business, but also in life. And though I cannot really explain how โ€“ I can feel their strong bond and love in their creations, and the way they arrange them for photographs: so gentle, so careful.

The jewelry made by Gorimbaud Designs not only looks magical, it is magical. While crystals are oftentimes an integral part of the statement piece-necklaces, I fell for the copper moon cuff. Itโ€™s a rather modest piece of jewelry โ€“ a slender copper bracelet with the moon phases engraved and two little amethysts beads โ€“ but I find that the piece draws its strength exactly from being so simple, straight-forward, honest. Itโ€™s actually my first piece of copper jewelry (and certainly not the last I bought a Gorimbaud Designs – cause hey, I will at some point need a necklace to go with it!), and I could not be happier with it. There is a tension between the warm copper colour and the cool feel of the metal that I find very alluring.

The shop is open again! We decided to re-open today, on the last day of 2016. We have a few new items available, and hopefully will be able to add more soon. โœจ This year has been hard and even straight up horrible in many ways. Our shop has been the one constant thing when we've felt really lost, and we are so grateful for all the support, joy and love you have given us. Thank you! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ•ฏ . . #2016 #handmade #supportsmall #jewelry #crystals #witch #darkart #magic #moonchild #artistsofinstagram #etsy #coven #mystic #witchcraft #nothingisordinary #seekthesimplicity #crystaljewelry #pagan #witchy #darksouls #flashesofdelight #forestfairy #bohemian #witchesofinstagram #darkartists #nordic #magick #occult #thirdeye

Apart from jewelry, the Etsy shop of Gorimbaud Designs carries other tools for witchery, such as tarot cases (made from upcycled leather!), notebooks and witch boxes with carefully put together altar pieces.

All these creations are one-of-a-kind and usually sell pretty fast, so you might want to follow Gorimbaud Designs on Instagram or Facebook for frequent updates! The shop is currently on a break until early February, but I recommend to have a look as soon as itโ€™s back online.
